Towards the end of the 2024–2025 academic year, The Lay Centre community came together for a deeply meaningful moment in our shared life. After the celebration of the Eucharist, Rev. Pasquale Fiorillo, a young priest from the Archdiocese of Sorrento (Italy), blessed The Lay Centre’s house—a tradition usually carried out around the feast of Pentecost.

Together, we walked through the spaces that hold our daily life of study, work, reflection, and fellowship. This blessing embraced not only rooms and corridors, but also our hearts and hopes as we brought the academic year to a close.

It was a reminder of who we are: a community rooted in Faith, Hospitality, Dialogue, and Care for Our Common Home. These values animate our mission to offer lay women and men a transformative experience—one that prepares us, in both mind and spirit, to serve the Church and the world with compassion, courage, and joy.
