Today we celebrate life

“Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark.” (Jn 20:1) However, it was in that moment of darkness that she and the other disciples encountered Jesus, resurrected and alive. Perhaps we are also living through “darkness” in different ways: the world today faces deep suffering and global tension.

Yet, as Christians, we find our strength in the Resurrection. Christ is our light, our hope, and in this Holy Week, we are called to keep our spirits firm in faith. We celebrate life, confident in His unconditional love. We renew our commitment to love, which, in Pope Leo XIV’s words to young people, is what gives real meaning to life:

“Love is a free gift to God and to others; stay close and do not walk away, even when we cannot solve every problem or resolve every difficulty. Stay nearby, with love and faith,” the Holy Father says.

As we walk together, let us take these words to heart. On behalf of our entire community, I wish you a blessed and peaceful Triduum and a joyful Easter celebration.
